I am the General Partner of Livermore Valley Tennis Club in Livermore, Calif. My partner and I bought the club in 1983 with 175 memberships. At that time, it was a private tennis club with swimming in the summer. Today we have about 1200 memberships (over 3,000 members). We have grown from 4,000 sq. ft. with tennis courts and one pool to over 50,000 sq. ft. with five pools, Aerobics, Fitness Center, Indoor gym, Racquetball, Pickleball, and many other types of club activities. We have a summer Rec swim team with over 200 kids and a year-round USS swim team with over 100 kids. I am still active as the owner/operator of my club. You can view my club online at www.lvtc.com.
As a full-time resident of Shadow Hills I would like to serve our community, and feel that my business background in the club ownership/management will be an asset to the HOA Board. Volunteers should rotate in a volunteer organization and we all need to participate at some point.
I served on the Livermore Chamber of Commerce Board in the late 80’s. I served on the TCMA (tennis Club Management Association) Board and am a past President. I also served on the USTA (United States Tennis Association) Norcal Board. During that time, I served on most of the committees including the Budget, Operations, Constitution and Rules, Executive, and then was President for two years.
My wife and I enjoy golf, hiking, the Fitness Center, the great sunsets and movies.

I have lived in SCSH for 12 years. I am a grandmother of four, a retired educator and attorney and have been a Board member since March 2015. Often I have addressed homeowner concerns and have actively supported the right of all residents to live safely, peaceably and with enjoyment in our community.
I serve as the Board liaison to the Food and Beverage Committee and work with Rolland Vaughn from Troon and the Shadows staff to ensure that high quality food and prompt service are consistently maintained.
I advocate providing adequate financial information to homeowners prior to the budget sessions and reserve study sessions so they are knowledgeable about the finances prior to the Board’s discussions and final acceptance of the reports.

My goal is to communicate well with Board members, homeowners and staff. My communication skills have been developed very strongly at the highest level (municipal, federal and private sector)
