I am Bruce Marley, current HOA Board member, and candidate for re-election to our Board. I have enjoyed my time on our Board, as Treasurer, and would appreciate the opportunity to continue to serve our community. During this past two years the Board has worked hard at transparency, professionalism, collegiality, and to collectively make the right decisions for the community. In doing so, I believe this Board has contributed to a kinder and more friendly community. Yes, our Board has had to deal with challenging issues, has not always agreed on every issue, but in the end, we have each worked to the benefit of the entire community.
Our Board has been involved in making 100's of decisions over the past two years, whether personnel, contracts, or how to spend our money. To that end, the financial decisions we have made account for between $1.1 and $1.3 Million of our dollars spent each month, between daily operations and Replacement Fund expenditures! Additionally, our Board works with Comerica Securities in managing over $13 Million of investments, as part of the Replacement Fund. I take great pride as your Treasurer in championing fiscal conservatism, accountability, and sound decision making. Remember, we are a $32 Million city within the city of Indio! My career in banking and finance, and community service, have prepared me for this very important role as a member of our HOA Board.
I commit to continue to work hard with all Board members for the greater good of all Sun City Shadow Hills residents. I take my fiduciary responsibility seriously to make honest, thoughtful decisions on all matters that come before the Board, regardless of any personal interests or allegiances. I ask for your vote.
Integrity, experience, qualifications and good judgment; these are the qualities you expect from your HOA Board. My name is FERA MOSTOW. For the past two years, I have served as VICE PRESIDENT of our HOA Board during which time significant enhancements have been made in our community. I'm most proud of our efforts to listen to what homeowners want and respond. I've been a homeowner here for 14 years. From almost day one, I've been an active volunteer in our community, serving on five HOA committees - Covenants, Design Review, Information, Finance and Chair of the Governing Documents Committee. Being your Vice President has been my greatest reward.
I've been a California practicing attorney for over 30 years - first for the Internal Revenue Service, then as Vice President of two multi-national conglomerates: Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney Corporation. I continue to do pro bona work for low-income clients and two volunteer organizations. value my reputation for integrity.
I continue to be a consensus builder. Reaching compromises that benefit all residents. I promise to work in a productive manner that will benefit your interests.
During my tenure on the Board, I've worked cooperatively with the other Board Members to keep our community looking good; our home values up; our finances strong as our dues continue to be some of the lowest in the Coachella Valley and always listen to your concerns.
If elected I promise to continue to represent all the members of our community, making decisions that will keep our finances strong, our property values up and our community well maintained.
I have the proven integrity, experience, qualifications and good judgment to continue to represent you on the Sun City Shadow Hills Board of Directors. I ask for your vote. Thank you.
