Traffic regulations are nothing more than an extension of good manners. The vast majority of us tend to follow traffic rules and regulations because we understand that they are for the common good -- they are in place for the safety of all our residents.
When someone travels 65 MPH down Avenida Estuco or fails to come to a complete stop at a stop sign and breaks their neighbor's arm -- we are all at risk.
The new fine structure has clearly caused many residents to slow down and stop speeding. But we still have far too many residents who seem to think that rolling through a stop sign is "okay."
Well it's not. It takes less than 3 seconds to say to oneself when coming to a full stop at a stop sign "One two three, no ticket for me." That's enough time to get you to come to a complete stop, ensure your neighbors safety and not get a ticket to boot.
Remember, the life you save, may be your own.
