Emergency Preparedness Tip of the Week: ICE (In Case of Emergency)

Tip: Police Departments across the nation urge all cell phone users to participate in the ICE (In Case of Emergency) program. This program encourages people to enter an emergency contact number in his/her cell phone’s memory under the heading "ICE". ICE enables paramedics or police to contact a designated relative or friend in an emergency situation. Newer cell phones also allow you to enter "Emergency Information" with contacts as well as medical information that can be accessed even with the phone locked. Check your phone's manual or help app for more details.
