The CLASSIC MOVIE CLUB presents:
Bi-monthly screenings on Friday afternoons of Academy Award-winning and nominated films shown on a giant screen in high definition using only restored and remastered Blu-ray discs.
On Friday, April 7, 2023 at 4:00 pm in the Santa Rosa Clubhouse’s Monterey Room, the club will present:
“GOLDENEYE” – the seventeenth in the James Bond movie series, and the first to star Pierce Brosnan as Agent 007. Directed by Martin Campbell, GoldenEye has enjoyed a large and enthusiastic following since its release in 1995. In a 2021 Yahoo survey consisting of 2200 film scholars and James Bond movie superfans, it was voted as the best James Bond film, followed by Daniel Craig's Casino Royale and George Lazenby's On Her Majesty's Secret Service. It was also one of the most financially successful of all of the Bond films at the box office.
After the screening, there will be time for socializing, and you will be able to take a picture of yourself holding a real Oscar. Club membership is not required to attend the free screenings.
