Join us for a two-hour workshop where we will explore the ancient yogic techniques of slow stretching, deep breath work, and meditation. Together we will explore a variety of yogic techniques to help participants feel more centered and at peace. Each practice encourages a grounded but radiant approach to breath, being (over doing) and cultivating one’s own sense of presence. If you have always wanted to know more about yoga and meditation or want to deepen your current practice, please join us!
This workshop is an introduction to a weekly Stretch, Breathe, Meditate class beginning April 15. All levels are welcome, please dress comfortably and bring water and a pen/notebook if you desire.
JoElla Shepherd, a certified yoga (Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500-hour level) and primordial sound meditation teacher, has spent the last 18 years teaching many traditional and modern forms of yoga including:
Atma yoga (Saul David Raye), Forrest Yoga (Ana Forrest), Chopra Yoga (Deepak Chopra), Svaroopa, Yin, Iyengar, Ashtanga, and, since 2007, Kundalini Yoga.
In addition to juggling a professional teaching and consulting career, JoElla spent seven years teaching yoga and meditation for The Chopra Center, and spent several of those years teaching internationally with Deepak and the Chopra Center staff.
