HOA Candidate Forum Showcases Mutual Respect

This year there are two open seats on our HOA Board of Directors. As luck would have it, we have two candidates running for those positions, but we still need you to vote!!!

The candidates are Kim Fuller and Linda Aasen.

Both candidates gave opening statements and were asked prepared questions by the Forum Moderator. The questions were prepared by the Nominating Committee. No questions were permitted from the floor.

Kim Fuller expressed his high regard for the homeowners of Sun City Shadow Hills. He acknowledges that the more homeowners are involved - the easier everyone’s job becomes. When asked what he views as the greatest challenges facing SCSH, he responded, “We are doing just fine.” As issues come up he is continually impressed with how well people are working together.

Kim views service as a pleasure and a total privilege. He is the current President of the HOA Board and is running for his second term.

Linda Aasen expressed her continued confidence in the community, the Board and Staff at SCSH. She sees communication and increased volunteerism as key issues she is excited to tackle. Linda has lived in SCSH for 9 years and loves it here. She has been an active volunteer and comes to this election with a deep understanding of the community.

Linda is seeking her first term on the HOA Board. Her overall goal is to make SCSH one of the most desirable communities in the Coachella Valley. She expressed that she will work hard, stand up for what’s right, make the tough decisions and welcome the opinions of homeowners.

Both candidates expressed a mutual respect and support for one another.

The next opportunity to meet the candidates is a Meet & Greet to be held on Friday, February 22 at 6:30 pm at the Montecito Clubhouse. Please plan to attend.
