How prepared are you for an emergency?

SCSH has an Emergency Preparedness Committee which is a subcommittee of the Safety Committee.

And they have a website with all kinds of important information about being prepared in the event of an
emergency.

If you haven't visited this site, click here -- and have a look!

Those of us who lived through the Northridge Earthquake know how very important is to be prepared.  Had we not been prepared, we would not have had potable water for 3 days. Many people had to live outside and needed flashlights and warming blankets. We had no electricity and had to use a crank radio we had purchased -- to hear the news. The lesson we learned from Northridge was -- be prepared.
