Montecito Clubhouse Fire Alarm Incident Report

On Tuesday, May 14 at approximately 1:54 PM, the Montecito Clubhouse fire alarm system was activated by an air conditioning air-handler smoke sensor. After inspecting the air-handler smoke sensor, it was determined that the sensor was set off by an authorized air conditioning service contractor performing the annual services for the clubhouse’s rooftop air conditioning units. The smoke sensor has been reset and the Fire Department has given the all-clear signal to re-enter the clubhouse.

I would like to thank everyone for evacuating the Montecito Clubhouse and Fitness buildings in an orderly and timely manner. Your cooperation in vacating the buildings allowed for the Facilities Maintenance Staff and the Fire Department to assess the situation as quickly and as safely as possible.

Thank you,

Jesse Barragan
Director of Facilities
