No Election/Political Signs Permitted Before October 9, 2016

Election Day in the United States of America is the Tuesday following the first Monday in November. It can fall on or between November 2 and November 8. It is the day when popular ballots are held to select public officials.

This year it falls on November 8.

Section 2.8.4 of the SCSH Rules and Regulations states that no political election signs can be placed in any yard before 30 days before the election, and must also be taken down the day of the election.

Therefore, no resident shall display any national political signs this year until October 9, 2016 -- that is nearly a month away.

If you have a sign in your yard now, please remove it immediately, replacing it October 9.

If you plan on having a political sign, know that it cannot be placed on your property until October 9 and must be removed November 8.

Thank you for your cooperation.
