Good morning residents,
Many of you know the Board is considering changes to the Catering policy which might affect some of the Charter Clubs or Resident Groups in how they provide food/beverages for their events. This discussion among the Committee, staff, and Board members has been in process for about one year. The Board planned to discuss this issue in the Board meeting on Monday. Given the many comments from different representatives from the Charter Clubs and Resident Groups, I am postponing that item till the meeting in April. I think it would be prudent to meet with representatives of the Charter Clubs and Resident Groups a little more to discuss the current policy, concerns, and alternatives. I will be sending out a notice to all the Charter Clubs and Resident Groups inviting them to send a representative to this meeting. If your Club or Group currently uses Shadows for all catering needs, you would not be affected by any proposed policy changes so you may choose not to attend. All Clubs and Groups are welcome to attend the meeting but just want you to know so if your Club or Group is not affected, you might not want to come to a meeting that has no impact on you at this time.
I am writing this to everyone now so if you planned on attending the Board meeting on Monday specifically to speak about this item, it will not be on the agenda. You are still welcome to attend the meeting and speak about any item during the open forum including this item if you so desire.
