As most of our residents are most probably aware, California is facing the worst drought on record. Residents of the Coachella Valley have been mandated to reduce water usage by 36% -- to not do so could result in restrictive meters being placed on offending resident's homes.
Our HOA has begun to take measures to assist in the reduction of water usage. Last year, your Board elected to reduce water usage on our golf courses by 185,000 gallons by not overseeding the roughs.
We've also begun to replace turf with drought resistant materials throughout the community and as result received a story in the Desert Sun.
