The forecast this weekend is calling for over three inches of rain. If that happens, there will be flooding on the golf courses. The drains on the courses are designed to direct water runoff to the irrigation lakes, having these lakes low will make room for this water. I turned off our water delivery from CVWD yesterday, and you may have noticed the water levels have dropped. I am going to run another cycle this afternoon, knowing that rain is coming. I am simply lowering the lakes in order to better receive any runoff. Irrigating is the only way to do that.
If the weather is good and there is play tomorrow, conditions will be wet.
