Introducing Our New Safety Director, Mark Galvin

I was very concerned about finding a new Safety Director with similar qualifications and experience of David Archer who has resigned. Fortunately, we found Mark Galvin. A native of London, England, Mark began his career at The London Stock Exchange in the computer division. During his 12-year tenure, Mark held several leadership positions including Computer Systems Development Center Supervisor. He immigrated to the United States in 1989 and began a second career in the security industry.

While with American Protective Services (APS), Mark held a variety of positions including Security Professional, Account Manager, and Branch Manager. After APS was acquired by Pinkerton and eventually Securitas, Mark was promoted to Area Manager and contributed significantly to the growth of the region. In 2003, Mr. Galvin joined Bower Security, as Vice President and built a high-level clientele through his unparalleled customer service and dedication to consistently exceeding client expectations. Universal Protection Service (UPS) acquired Bower in 2010, and Mark joined UPS as part of its senior management team in the Palm Desert branch.

Mr. Galvin was educated at the East Ham Technical College in London with a major in Computer Sciences and minor in Business Management. He has lived in the Palm Springs area for over 20 years and is currently an active member of the Community Associations Institute.

Mark will join us on February 13. Please join me in welcoming Mark when you see him, or just stop by and have a chat and listen to that English accent.
