Classic Movie Club: Adam’s Rib (1949)

The CLASSIC MOVIE CLUB presents:

Free bi-monthly screenings every other Friday of Academy Award-winning and nominated films to be shown in the latest remastered Blu-ray editions on a big theater-style screen using a state-of-the-art 4K high-definition video projector.

On Friday April 10, 2026 at 3:00PM in the Santa Rosa Clubhouse’s Monterey Room, the club will present: A TRIBUTE TO HUSBAND/WIFE SCREENWRITERS GARSON KANIN & RUTH GORDON, WITH A SPECIAL INTRODUCTION BY THEIR NEPHEW, THE CLUB’S CO-HOST JOSH KANIN

“ADAM’S RIB” – the 1949 romantic comedy with an Oscar-nominated screenplay by Garson Kanin & Ruth Gordon. Directed by George Cukor, this hilarious MGM film stars Spencer Tracy, Katharine Hepburn, and Judy Holliday.

To enhance our communal moviegoing experience, complimentary snacks will be provided, and you can bring your own food and beverages. At each club screening, there will be a giveaway of classic movie DVDs.
