Rhonda Ceccato’s guiding philosophy is that our greatest currency is kindness---and that we should spend it often. Rhonda is an active volunteer in the Sun City Shadow Hills Community. She is Chair of the Safety Committee, a member of the Emergency Preparedness Committee, and a member of the Covenants Committee.
In addition to her volunteerism in Sun City Shadow Hills, for the last three years she has volunteered with the Coachella Valley Animal Shelter, transporting dogs, cats, and the occasional guinea pig to their rescue homes.
Rhonda was born in the San Francisco Bay Area and raised in Daly City and south San Francisco, California. She retired to the Palm Springs area in 2014 after a 35-year career providing services to individuals suffering from substance abuse, mental illness, and domestic violence.
Rhonda ventured into politics later in her life and was elected to the San Mateo County Board of Education in 2002. She served on the Board for three terms (12 years), including two years as President. Rhonda continues her work in the health field as a consultant to the California Board of Registered Nursing.
Rhonda loves playing pickleball and gardening and is an avid animal lover. She is a self-described amateur painter and writer and also enjoys dancing and live music.
Thank you for everything you do, Rhonda!
