Trash collection occurs every Tuesday, beginning at 7:00 am. Trash containers may be placed out front of your home on Monday after 4:00 pm. Containers need to be removed by 10:00 pm on Tuesday. Burrtec is the company responsible for waste disposal and payment to Burrtec is automatically paid through your property taxes.
Organic Waste Recycling
Indio now has an organic (food scraps) recycling program as required by California law. Scraps collected by Burrtec for Indio residents will be composted at the Coachella Valley and Edom Hill Compost Facilities.
