Are You Prepared for the BIG ONE?

It'll never happen here.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

It is the Big One, a catastrophic earthquake. While no one can predict an earthquake, what everyone can do is be prepared.

What does “be prepared” really mean?

In the event of a catastrophic quake, experts recommend residents be prepared to shelter in place. Public shelters, friends, family and even hotels may be an option, but in many cases the best option is to remain in your home while services are restored.

Residents can prepare by storing water, food, medicine and other supplies to sustain themselves for up to two weeks.

To learn how to prepare for, survive and recover from the Big One, the HOA’s Emergency Preparedness Subcommittee provides Disaster Preparedness 101, a comprehensive training program available for free to our residents.
