Consider Volunteering, We Need Each Other

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you want to help but you’re not sure how? Most of us can relate. It’s especially unnerving if the situation is an extreme emergency and you just don’t know how to help.

We all have expertise and valuable skills which  can be of significant help, especially in an extreme emergency - like a major earthquake. Why not share your talents and expertise with your neighbors at SCSH by volunteering for the Emergency Preparedness Sub-Committee?

On page 8 in February's issue of The View magazine,  Jeff Kirkpatrick, the Chairman of the Emergency Preparedness Sub-Committee, details the numerous volunteer opportunities available. Take a few minutes to review the list. It’s likely you’ll find something that suits you.

We’re a community of big-hearted, caring people. Let’s come together to be sure we’re a community of prepared, big-hearted, caring people.

All levels of volunteers are needed. We need each other. Please consider what you can do to help in an emergency.
