Dear Board, What Have You Done for Us Lately? – July 2026

Board Report Card – July 2026

Held the monthly Board Meeting on July 27, 2026.

Also met during Executive Session on July 20, 2026 and July 30, 2026.

Motion Passed during the July 27th General Session Meeting

The following requests were submitted to the Board by various Committees.

  • Posted revisions to the Rules & Regulations, Section 2.20.4 & 2.20.5
  • Accepted the proposal from Pye Barker to conduct preventative maintenance and routine service of the Association’s gate access system
  • Accepted the proposal from Pye Barker to conduct upgrades and modernization of the infrastructure for the Phase III main gate and Madison Street Gate
  • Posted revisions to the SCSH Election Rules
  • Approved the replacement of the shade awning structure previously located at the Santa Rosa tennis courts
  • Approved the purchase of a Cushman Utility Cart for the Facilities Department

Other accomplishments by your board, with you in mind:

  • In response to resident requests, installed a new patio table and chairs at the Santa Rosa pool deck.
  • Completed the installation of the North Gatehouse ADA-compliant pedestrian gate opener, which is now fully operational.
  • Scheduled the installation of energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) to improve air quality in the men’s and women’s locker rooms.
  • Successfully replaced the pavers at the Jefferson Street main entryway, enhancing the appearance and safety of the community entrance.
  • We have received resident feedback regarding the accumulation of blow sand on private property between Varner Road and SCSH Phase I. We are currently in communication with City of Indio Councilmembers and are hopeful they can assist in addressing this concern by coordinating efforts for its removal.
  • We are preparing to meet with our major service providers for an annual touch base to ensure we are in agreement on priorities, expectations, and goals for the upcoming calendar year. As part of this process, we want to make sure our budgetary needs are understood.

The Board has been conducting this exercise for the past two years and has found it to be a valuable opportunity to strengthen communication, clarify expectations, and ensure your needs and priorities continue to be a key consideration in our planning.
