Classic Movie Club: Good Morning Vietnam (1987)

The CLASSIC MOVIE CLUB presents:

Bi-monthly screenings on Friday afternoons of award-winning films shown on a giant screen in high definition using only restored and remastered Blu-ray discs.

On Friday, February 9, 2024, at 4:00 pm in the Santa Rosa Clubhouse’s Monterey Room, the club will present:

GOOD MORNING VIETNAM – the 1987 comedy written by Mitch Markowitz, directed by Barry Levinson, and starring Robin Williams and Forest Whitaker.  The story is loosely based on the experiences of AFRS radio DJ Adrian Cronauer during the Vietnam War. Most of Williams' performances that portrayed Cronauer's radio broadcasts were improvisations. The film was released to enormous critical and commercial success. For his work in the film, Williams won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor.
