The CLASSIC MOVIE CLUB presents:
Bi-monthly screenings on Friday afternoons of award winning and critically acclaimed films shown on a giant screen in high definition using only restored and remastered Blu-ray discs.
On Friday, November 3, 2023, at 4:00 pm in the Santa Rosa Clubhouse’s Monterey Room, the club will present:
“TOMBSTONE” – 1993’s incredibly popular, star-studded Western set in Arizona of 1881. Former U.S. Marshall Wyatt Earp’s (Kurt Russell) plan for peace, quiet and prosperity misfires when he, his brothers and the outrageous rogue Doc Holliday (Val Kilmer) encounter that ruthless band of outlaws, the Cowboys, in the legendary gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Directed by George Cosmatos, Tombstone is considered one of the 5 greatest Westerns ever made according to the National Society of Film Critics. It was also one of the highest grossing films of the 1990s, thrilling audiences with its explosive action and gripping performances.
After the screening, there will be time for socializing, and you will be able to take a photo of yourself holding a real Oscar statuette. Club membership is not required to attend our free screenings.
