Indio Hires New General Manager of Indio Water Authority

Trish Rhay Brings 20 Years of Water System Experience

INDIO, CA (May 7, 2019) – The City of Indio announced the hiring of Patricia “Trish” Rhay as its new General Manager of the Indio Water Authority. Rhay will oversee a department that provides approximately 5.7 billion gallons of water annually to 80,000 businesses and residents within a service area of 38 square miles in the City of Indio.

Rhay brings 20 years of experience in the water/wastewater and public works fields. She worked for the City of Seattle’s Water/Wastewater & Stormwater Division and served the City of Beverly Hills as Assistant Public Works Director in charge of their utility operations. More recently, Rhay worked as Public Works Director for the City of San Bernardino.

“Ms. Rhay brings an impressive track record of working cooperatively with multiple constituencies & partnerships in various capacities throughout California and Washington,” City Manager Mark Scott said. “We are delighted to have her join the Indio team at a time when we are realizing so many positive opportunities.”

Rhay earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. Her official start date is June 3, 2019.
