Pictured are two new 2015 Ford Escapes that are now part of our Community Safety Patrol. They have replaced the 2012 Toyota Tacomas as part of our contract agreement with Universal Protection Services, the contract guard service that supplies our gate and patrol personnel here at Sun City Shadow Hills. Several communities here in the Coachella Valley have gone to the Escapes which deliver better fuel mileage than the pickups, and, as a result of U.P.S. working with Ford Motor Company on a national account basis, give us about an $8,000 per year savings over the Tacoma trucks. A good deal all around.
