Eliezer Rabelo Eliezer “Eli” Rabelo is a semi-retired dancer/opera singer and has been teaching Pilates since 2007. He has over 30 years in the performing arts field and is a professionally trained dancer and has performed principal roles with the resident company at Amazon Opera House and several ballet and modern dance companies in Brazil and USA. He has developed Ballet, Modern Dance, Jazz and Pilates curriculum at different institutions, and founded studios dedicated to the arts including Cia. Ballet da Barra in his hometown Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. He has studied with many masters in Ballet, Modern Dance, Jazz, Voice and Cello. Eliezer studied Pilates with many teachers and credited the majority of his knowledge of the work to the great masters Rael Isacowitz and Karen Clippinger; he applied that knowledge to the Block System created by Rael Isacowitz.
Currently Eli is on his path to become BASI Faculty under the guidance of the amazing teacher of teachers, Ofie Dates, and had the privilege of assisting many of the awesome BASI Faculty members from whom he is constantly learning.
His experience and his passion for Pilates is contagious. He focuses on the principles of Pilates to ensure the highest quality of care and technique in his work, while integrating form and fun for a more efficient work during his classes, whether you may be a professional athlete or someone that may have just started on a journey to fitness and wellness.
